A wonderfully original 1955 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop! Gibson had been working out the kinks in their new Les Paul model in the early 1950s, and by 1955 things began to click together. After adjusting the neck angle to make the guitar more comfortable to play, the bridge pickup was moved up about 1/8” to provide more wood for the wrap around tailpiece studs to anchor to. This guitar is incredibly solid, and the tone backs that up! It features two well balanced P-90 pickups, with a 7.81K in the bridge, and a 7.98K in the neck position. The neck carve is an incredibly comfortable medium C profile, and the frets themselves are in fantastic shape!
It weighs in at 8 lbs and 6 oz, and comes with the original Gibson hardshell brown case.
If you have any questions, please give us a call at 516-221-0563. We'd be happy to give you an in-hand description of the guitar. All of our guitars are properly set up by John Bertsche, our brilliant guitar tech, and will be professionally packed with care.
Upon receipt, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you must notify WSG within 24 hours. We will refund your money as soon as the merchandise is returned to us in the same condition as when it shipped out. The customer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and bank fees that may be incurred throughout the return process. All returns must be packaged in the same materials that the guitar was sent out in to ensure the instruments safety. All claims regarding loss or damage are the responsibility of the purchaser.
