A show stopping, original 1956 Gretsch 6129 Sparkle Jet in Silver Sparkle! Gretsch originally started primarily as a drum and banjo company, and slowly made their way into producing arch tops, and other guitar styles to increase growth. Gretsch’s past experiences with drums was ever present, as the sparkle tops on the Sparkle Jets were actually drum casing rather than paint! Two fantastic Dynasonic DeArmand pickups give a beautifully warm tone, with a 9.25K in the bridge, and a 10.41K in the neck position. The neck is a smooth C profile that fills the palm nicely, with frets in adequate shape. Even acoustically, the guitar absolutely rings and amped up it really sings!
It weighs in at 7 lbs 10 oz, and comes with original hangtags, strings and original hardshell Gretsch case.
