A magnificent example of the super rare 1957 Gretsch 6121 Chet Atkins in Gretsch Orange! The 6121 line was first released in 1955, and was the semi-hollow body version of the extremely popular 6120 Chet Atkins hollow body model. This guitar features a maple body, “humptop” inlays, Bigsby with roller bridge and a metal nut. The Gretsch Orange makes this one striking piece, with hardly any wear besides some mild fade by the forearm area. The frets are in good shape, and shows some love and wear to the cowboy chord area. Two well voiced DeArmond DynaSonic pickups gives this guitar a fantastic voice, with a 9.64K in the bridge, and 9.18K in the neck position. This guitar is a wonderful player, with a beautifully warm sound and amazing feel in the hand!
It weighs in at 7 lbs 8 oz, and comes with original Gretsch hardshell case.
