In 1960 Fender introduced the Jazz Bass to their lineup of instruments. The initial design featured a pair of concentric "stack" knobs; one volume and one tone for each pickup. By early 1962, this feature was dropped in favor of three knobs.
This particular Jazz Bass is a stunningly preserved example from the first year of production. The original rich three-tone Sunburst finish is in great condition with only slight wear. It features a rosewood "slab" fingerboard, clay dots, and tortoise pickguard. It still retains the original pickup covers and mutes. This bass is all original and includes the original brown Tolex case, set of strings, and strap.
If you have any questions, please give us a call at 516-221-0563. We'd be happy to give you an in-hand description of the guitar. All of our guitars are properly set up by John Bertsche, our brilliant guitar tech, and will be professionally packed with care.
Upon receipt, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you must notify WSG within 24 hours. We will refund your money as soon as the merchandise is returned to us in the same condition as when it shipped out. The customer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and bank fees that may be incurred throughout the return process. All returns must be packaged in the same materials that the guitar was sent out in to ensure the instruments safety. All claims regarding loss or damage are the responsibility of the purchaser.
