An incredible 1965 Fender Jazz Bass in the rare Firemist Silver with matching headstock! After nearly a decade after creating and dominating the solid-body bass market with the Precision, Fender decided it was time to introduce a deluxe bass model to their catalog. In the summer of 1960, the wonderful curves of the Jazz Bass were available for purchase for the first time. The string spacing is slightly narrower than the Precision, and quickly became a favorite for many musicians, including John Paul Jones, Geddy Lee, and Jaco Pastorius. The clear coat on this guitar has beautifully aged to a nice minty shade, with some of the true Firemist Silver showing through the forearm and back contours.
It weighs in at 9 lbs, and comes with original mute, hang tags, and original hardshell case.
