Here's a very unique guitar from Gibson: an all-original 1980 E2 (Explorer II) in Gold! The E2 was originally introduced by Gibson in 1979. Standard finishes on the E2 were natural and sunburst; however, some rarer colors like Bahama Blue and Cherry exist. This is the only Gold one we've seen! This E2 is in excellent condition, apart from some natural checking to the finish, the guitar is near mint! The metallic in the Gold paint really shows well in the sunlight. Another interesting fact to note is that the guitar is stamped “second” on the headstock, making this a factory second. We often see Gibson custom colors that are factory seconds. This E2 sounds great and comes with its original hardshell case. Don’t miss out on this rare piece!
If you have any questions, please give us a call at 516-221-0563. We'd be happy to give you an in-hand description of the guitar. All of our guitars are properly set up by John Bertsche, our brilliant guitar tech, and will be professionally packed with care.
